Over the course of the busy holidays I had brief moments of solitude where I was able to reflect on all of the wonderful things that the past year had to offer – from minimal moments to great accomplishments and everything in between. I am so grateful for many things – including readers, like you. Once I rung in the New Year I was compelled and determined to start it off with a clean slate. And by clean I’m referring to the take down of holiday décor and the clean that happens thereafter. It always amazes me how refreshing and large a space feels when it is no longer hosting a tree. Now that 2019 is in full swing I have set out a list of goals that I wish to accomplish. Although the running theme on social media this month seems to be in the purge department, since downsizing all of our belongings I am not faced with that problem. Organization though, is a completely different story. And in order for one to be organized, certain rooms & items need a place to call home…which leads me to one of my top priorities/goals for this year. Getting back to my woodworking roots and building appropriate pieces to house the minor amount of belongings that are essential. I am happy to report that my miter saw has already been fired up, my Kreg Jig has been dusted off & as of today the framework for our bathroom vanity is taking shape. Next on that list, kitchen cabinets! Another top priority for me is to finally complete the interior of my she-shed. I have gone back and forth on the overall look and function of that space and think I have finally settled on a game plan. I hope to share more pics and simple do-it-yourself type “tutorials” with you all. Heck, maybe if I play my cards right I might even be able to share a few videos with you. In the meantime, if there is something that you would like to see more of or have a question that I may be able to answer…I’m all ears.
